Strategic Reading

Strategic Reading

Strategic Reading is an intensive reading class designed to improve reading comprehension in fiction and nonfiction text.
Reading instruction includes the following:
  • Reading strategies,
  • vocabulary development,
  • word attack skills, and
  • fluency.

Instruction is delivered in a small class setting by a certified reading specialist. The class meets daily for 40 minutes in place of the exploratory period.
